Our Golden Memories

Meet like-minded individuals and volunteer as a group towards a common community goal. The Community Volunteer Scheme allows you to participate in cause-based events and programmes that can also benefit from your professional skills.

KAKS and Muda SG: In partnership with our Kim Seng Malay Activity Executive Committee (MAEC), we engage and uplift the Malay Muslim community by organising festive events and mentoring youth, fostering unity and empowerment.

Our Golden Memories : In collaboration with the Chinatown Active Ageing Centre (AAC), we organise ‘Our Golden Memories’ to befriend seniors, offering them a makeover experience and capturing cherished photographs to honour their legacy. These skill sets are provided by dedicated volunteers.

You can make a difference! Join us in befriending a senior, mentoring underprivileged youth, participating in environmental clean-up initiatives, or organising festive celebrations for the less privileged. Your involvement can change lives and build a stronger community.

Not ready to commit as a Grassroots Leader or don’t have a specific cause? Try event volunteering! This is a great way to become more involved in the community. You can participate in one-time events or short-term projects that fit your schedule. This flexible approach allows you to explore different areas of interest, meet diverse people, and discover where your passions lie.

Chinatown Festivals: Organise and support key festive events in Chinatown, such as Chinese New Year and Mid-Autumn Festival. Welcome residents and tourists to enjoy the vibrant atmosphere with us.

Give & Take Market: This event occurs once every four months and helps less privileged families with children under 19 to stock up on everyday essentials. Volunteers help to maintain stock in our free market or assist with the shopping journey, each playing an important role.
