(i) Kreta Ayer-Kim Seng CCC Community Development Welfare Fund (CDWF)
An Institution of Public Character under our Citizens’ Consultative Committee
(CCC), the CDWF provides welfare assistance to needy residents. For
example, students from eligible households receive annual education bursaries.
Donors can also support programmes like MealsPlus, CatchPlus, JoyPlus,
Give & Take Market.
(ii) SparkleCare - LovePlus
On festive occasions, there is nothing like a sit-down meal with neighbours
to foster a sense of community. Supported by donors, our residents
are treated to a lovingly prepared meal and joyful performances. Donor
may also wish to personally present each invited resident with gifts of
cash and/or goody bags.
In-Kind Contributions
Instead of receiving common groceries and food items through door-to-door
distributions, Joyplus and the Give & Take Market provides our residents
with opportunities to "shop for free". Residents get to choose from
a wide selection of essential items ranging from food to household necessities
like toiletries and kitchen supplies. On special occasions, there may also
be festive goodies and decorations, stationery and toys for children, bedlinen
and small electrical appliances. Supported by donors, these programmes
offer practical support and bring much joy to our residents. They also
help to reduce wastage and duplication of efforts from multiple donors.
